Dorothy’s work in theatre includes GRIEF directed by Mike Leigh for The National Theatre; SOME VOICES by Joe Penhall, directed by Matthew Dunster for The Young Vic; Nurse in ROMEO & JULIET for Corcadorca / Cork Opera House; and Molly in MOLLY SWEENEY for The Print Room / Lyric Theatre.
Her film work includes the role of Rose in Peter Mullan’s internationally acclaimed film THE MAGDALENE SISTERS which received many awards including Best Film at The Venice Film Festival and Best Ensemble Cast at The British Independent Film Awards.
Her other films roles include THE SENSE OF AN ENDING directed by Ritesh Batra, PETERLOO directed and written by Mike Leigh, TRAUMA directed by Marc Evans, and LEILA directed by Lesley Manning.
For television Dorothy has worked on many productions for the BBC including CASUALTY 1906, RIVER CITY, DOCTORS, HOLBY CITY, LEANNE MCBRIDE and THE SHOEBOX ZOO, SILENT WITNESS and IDENTITY for ITV.
Her radio credits include THE GIANT O’BRIEN by Hilary Mantel.
Dorothy is a fluent Irish speaker.
