Richard Sammel is an extraordinary talent. A German actor, living between Paris and Berlin, he speaks four languages fluently, and regularly performs leading roles in each of them. He has played key roles in such high profile films as Casino Royale, Life Is Beautiful, and his remarkable performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, which brought him international recognition. Richard’s notable television performances include the Saturn Award nominated role of “Thomas Eichorst” in the third season of Guillermo del Torro’s The Strain, “Schwartz” in Interpol, and “Hartweg” in Da Vinci’s Demons. Recently, Richard starred as ‘Malachia’ in the television adaptation of Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose. Later this year, he can be seen in Kader Ayd’s new thriller A Day Like A Week, Anna Scaglione’s new drama, Piccolina Bella, and Gate To Heaven.
