Julie Jay
Julie Jay is a comedian, columnist (The Irish Examiner) and experienced MC who, when not breastfeeding small people, loves getting out of the house and doing sexy things like buying new mop heads and posting mass cards.
Winner of the First Fortnight Award at the Dublin Fringe 2022, her one woman show ‘Oops, This is Toxic’ was a celebration of surviving sexism and toxic situations, but most of all, it was a celebration of Britney. Julie is a familiar face on the Irish festival and comedy club scene and is currently touring her stand-up show ‘Julie, Madly, Deeply.’ In it, she talks close encounters with Cillian Murphy, the hazards of long-term relationships, and how she is solely responsible for the return of the tea trolley to the Dublin-Cork train.
A regular on 2fm, Today fm, Newstalk and RTE Radio 1, Julie also is a frequent guest on the Six O’Clock Show, The Today Show, and Ireland AM. When it comes to corporate gigs Julie says: “Please book me because I am poor.”
