Peter McGann and Liam Nugent

Peter McGann is a writer, actor, director and comedian from Wicklow.

Most recently, Peter has been seen on Good Boy (RTÉ) and will appear in the upcoming, Good Boy, Small Town (SKY TV) and Power Ballad (Lionsgate) 

He also voices Brian Killbird in Talking It Out on the RTE Player. He wrote and performed on three seasons of Republic of Telly and has appeared in the features Dead Happy and Locus of Control; short films Two CatsSpotless and Cavalier, and various sketches with Dreamgun, Chap’s Eye, JOIN and Tony Cantwell.

Peter has written and directed short films and sketches such as Sure Look This Is It#ComingHome and Christmas Party. His screenplay Caper was selected for the 2016 Galway Fleadh pitching awards.

His theatre writing credits include live comedy radio show Pulp InjectionThe Hellfire Squad and The Roaring Banshees (co-written with John Morton) and Personal Space Vol I and II (co-written with Stephen Colfer and Hannah Mamalis).

Stage acting credits include StarletThe Hellfire SquadTrial of the CenturiesDreamgun Film Reads, improvised puppet show Fur City, and 24 Hour Plays in the Abbey Theatre. He is a regular guest on the comedy improv podcasts Phoning It In and Reviewables.

As a comedian, Peter’s first nationwide tour in 2024 Great Lad was a sell-out success. He will return with a new show in 2025.


Liam Nugent is a stand-up comedian from Wicklow. He got into comedy after his auld lad fell off the ladder. Liam should have been there to hold it for him but he was down the town at the time and seen by a few people.

He has performed all over Ireland, including a sellout show in the Vodafone Comedy Festival in 2019 along with the third-best Republic of Telly host, one of the Hardy Bucks that isn’t the Viper, and the Soft Drinks chap.

His act has been described as “The King Of Comedy meets Pat McCabe”, whatever that means. If the Polish one from the newsagents is reading this can I be let back in I won’t try talk to you this time.
